What you will need

Step-by-step instructions

1

Log into VaultRE and open Settings

Sign in to your VaultRE account at app.vaultre.com.au. Once logged in, click your name or profile icon in the top-right corner, then select Settings from the dropdown menu.

2

Navigate to Integrations → API Keys

In the left sidebar of Settings, look for the Integrations section. Click it to expand the submenu, then click API Keys. If you don't see this option, your account may not have API access enabled — contact your VaultRE admin or VaultRE support to enable it.

3

Generate a new API key

Click Generate New Key (or similar button — the label may vary slightly). Give the key a name so you remember what it's for, such as "GetListingFlow". VaultRE will generate a unique key for you.

For official guidance from VaultRE, see their support article: Generating API Keys →

4

Copy the X-Api-Key value

Once generated, VaultRE will display your key. The field label you're looking for is X-Api-Key. Copy this value exactly — it is case-sensitive. Do not share this key with anyone other than the GetListingFlow setup team.

5

Paste the key into the GetListingFlow registration form

Return to the GetListingFlow registration form. Select VaultRE as your CRM, then paste the key into the field labelled API Key. That's it — Quentin will verify and complete the connection during your onboarding call.

Troubleshooting

Error: Invalid API key

The key was copied incorrectly

Make sure you copied the full key without any extra spaces before or after. The X-Api-Key value is typically a long string of characters — even one missing character will cause it to fail. Go back to VaultRE and copy it again directly from the API Keys page.

Error: API access not enabled

Your admin hasn't turned on API access yet

VaultRE restricts API access to specific user roles. If you cannot see the Integrations → API Keys section in Settings, contact your VaultRE office admin and ask them to enable API access for your account. If you are the admin, contact VaultRE support directly.

Error: Key no longer working after it was working before

The key was regenerated or expired

If someone regenerated the API key in VaultRE — or if VaultRE expired it automatically — the old key will stop working immediately. Go back to Settings → Integrations → API Keys and generate a fresh key, then update it in your GetListingFlow setup. Contact Quentin to update the key on the system side.

Cannot find the Integrations section

You may be on a VaultRE plan without API access

Some older or entry-level VaultRE plans do not include API access. Contact VaultRE support to confirm whether your subscription includes API key generation. If it does but you still can't see it, a permission issue on your user profile is the most likely cause.
