What you will need

Note: Rex does not use a traditional API key. Instead, GetListingFlow connects using your Rex login email, your Rex login password, and your Rex Account ID. You only need to provide these three values — Quentin will complete the full Rex integration configuration during your onboarding call.

Step-by-step instructions

1

Log into Rex

Go to your Rex account and sign in using your usual email and password. You'll need to be signed in before you can access the Admin section where your Account ID is stored.

2

Open the Admin menu

Once logged in, click the menu icon or your name in the top-right corner of the screen. From the dropdown, select Admin. If you don't see this option, you may not have admin-level access — ask your principal or office manager to complete this step, or to give you admin access temporarily.

3

Click "Account Sharing"

Inside the Admin section, find and click Account Sharing. Your Account ID is displayed at the top of this page. It is a numeric identifier unique to your Rex account.

4

Copy your Account ID

Copy the Account ID shown at the top of the Account Sharing page. It will look like a number — for example, 12345. Write it down or copy it to your clipboard. You will need to enter this in the GetListingFlow registration form.

5

Enter your details in the GetListingFlow registration form

Return to the GetListingFlow registration form and select Rex as your CRM. You will be asked for three values:

  • Email — your Rex login email
  • Password — your Rex login password
  • Account ID — the number you copied from Account Sharing

Quentin will complete the full Rex API configuration during your onboarding call. You only need to supply these three values now.

Troubleshooting

Error: Wrong Account ID

Your agency has multiple Rex offices

Some agencies — particularly franchises — operate multiple Rex accounts for different offices or brands. Make sure you are copying the Account ID from the correct Rex account. If you're unsure, check with your principal or the person who manages your Rex subscription.

Error: Two-factor authentication blocking access

2FA is enabled on your Rex account

If your Rex account has two-factor authentication (2FA) turned on, the standard credential-based connection may be blocked. Let Quentin know during your onboarding call — he can work with Rex support to configure an appropriate integration method for your setup.

Error: Authentication failed after a recent password change

Your Rex password was changed after you registered

If your Rex login password has changed since you submitted the registration form, the connection will stop working. Contact Quentin directly at quentin@getlistingflow.com.au to update your credentials in the system.

Cannot find "Account Sharing" in Admin

Your user role doesn't have admin access

The Account Sharing page is only visible to Rex users with admin-level permissions. Ask your principal or office manager to either complete this step for you, or to temporarily elevate your user permissions in Rex so you can access the Admin section.
